I am going to teach you all about present continuous tense in Urdu language. It is said that it is the easiest tense, because present participle form of the verb (- ing form) is used for it. We don’t need to care whether a verb is regular or irregular; we just put “ing” at the end of each first form of verb. A helping verb is always used before the main verb. Let us deal with it. It means that I am in the middle of teaching and teaching is not yet over. Watch Video Lesson of Present Continuous Tense in Urdu or Continue reading Verb and Helping Verb like other continuous tenses, We use a “helping”, such as “am”, “is” or “are” before the main verb. we use helping verb right after the subject of a sentence to make a declarative sentence. right after a helping verb, “Present participle” is used as a main verb for this tense, as; going, teaching,celebrating, dying and eating etc… She is going to school. Ahmed is celebrating his birthday. Note:- “helping verb” is used according to the “subject” of a sentence. Types of Sentences We usually make three types of sentences. Declarative Sentence Negative sentence Interrogative Sentence Let’s deal with them one by one…. 1)Declarative Sentence I am teaching or I’m teaching You/we/they are teaching or you/ we/ they’re teaching He/ she/ it is waiting or he/she/it’s waiting 2)Negative Sentence I’m not teaching You/we/they aren’t teaching He/she/it isn’t waiting Note: – “not” is put between verb and helping verb. 3)Interrogative Sentence Am I teaching? Are you/we/they teaching? Is he/she/it waiting? Note:- “helping” comes at the beginning of a sentence and a question mare (?) put at the end of the sentence to make a interrogative sentence.
