Back in November 2015, I decided I should really try to learn Spanish again. I took 3 years of Spanish in High School – back in the 80’s, but haven’t retained much of it. I ordered a copy of my old HS textbook and along with some library resources, I also started working with and to work on proficiency.
I stopped working on this during the holidays and with my online writing group’s JanNoWriMo challenge (, but taking place in January), I didn’t work on it much last month, either. But I’m back now, and it appears I’m up to 14% Spanish fluency!
I’m curious if anyone else is using DuoLingo, Memrise, or other online resources to learn Spanish, or another language – I am also poking around with Norwegian and Japanese. Feel free to comment below about which language(s) you’re trying to master and what online resources you’re using. I wouldn’t mind adding some friends to follow and encourage on language-learning websites. I’m usually out there as Girlnovember on those sites, if you’d like to add me as well.
