We send our participants to less touristy locations to encourage full immersion in the local language and culture. Currently, we offer programs in La Coruña, Spain, Urubamba, Sacred Valley of the Incas, Peru and individual internship placements in Germany, France, Italy and New Zealand.

was founded by . During Nicole’s college career as an International Business student at San Diego State University, she became passionate about learning foreign languages and international travel. Nicole spent the summer of 2005 studying Spanish with a large group of American students in Madrid. Later in 2007, she spent a year studying in A Coruña, Spain alongside local Spanish students.
While living in A Coruña, she rapidly improved her Spanish language skills as there were only two other Americans studying in the city. Unlike her experience in Madrid, the locals generally didn’t speak English. She found being immersed in the Spanish language on a daily basis to be a highly effective language learning method. Like many US students, Nicole started learning Spanish as a high school freshman. Today she is fully fluent, thanks in large part to her time in A Coruña.
Ever since Nicole’s return back to the US in 2008, it was a goal of hers to create highly immersive study abroad programs; so, she could help others improve their foreign language skills in a similar manner. As a result, Linguistic Horizons was born.
