I specialize in teaching conversational English, where the focus is on speaking rather than mechanics. I believe that when learning any language, it is essential to utilize the spoken word as much as possible, utilizing native speakers to obtain a true feel for how words are pronounced and utilized in every day conversation. It is possible to learn unwritten nuances of the English language simply by speaking with each other. Through positive interactions, you will feel the rhythm of the English language rather than simply learning the technical side of the English language.
I realize how difficult it is to become comfortable practicing another language, as I have tried to use my Spanish several times when traveling. The reality is, it may feel intimidating, but the more you try, the more people will help you.
The act of trying to speak in English with a native speaker is an indicator that you are willing to learn and want to learn. This is when the native speaker will try to help you and make you feel more comfortable.
My goal is to make you feel confident and comfortable when speaking English, regardless of your location or to whom you are speaking.
