Welcome to the German Language School
Deutsche Sprachschule Long Island, Inc. (DSSLI) is a parent initiative founded in 2003 in Suffolk County, Long Island, New York. DSSLI provides continuing language education for German learners and German-speaking students of all ages and levels, and provides a network for families to expand their knowledge of German culture and to engage in cross-cultural exchanges.
- We offer classes for toddlers, children, teens, and adults.
- Classes for children meet Saturday afternoons, and adult classes on weekday nights.
- All classes meet at Stony Brook University in Stony Brook, New York.
- In addition to German language skills, students learn about German culture and holidays.
NEWS Mark your calendar: DSSLI Membership Meeting will take place on Saturday, May 21, during children’s classes. Come to hear updates about your school and to vote in new Board members for the next two-year term. We are always looking for German teachers, teacher assistants, and subs. if you are interested in getting involved. End of Year Party will take place on June 25th!
