I am Eldon Yoder.
I was born in Guatemala where my parents where missionaries in the late 80’s.
I am the middle of five children. All told there are three boys and two girls. As I said, I’m right in the middle of everything.
That little guy at the top of the page. He’s my nephew. He’s brilliant… He’s also one of my favorite people in the world.
I am a Christian. I believe that what the Bible says is true and I try to pattern my life and all that I do after it.
I have a day job – I am a quality analyst at . I make sure that software works the way it is supposed to before we put it out in front of our customers/students.
During my time away from work I am trying to become a better Ruby developer and continue doing odd jobs as a WordPress implementer. I use WordPress to build websites for personal projects and a number of clients. I’ve recently taken to learning and …
I also really enjoy photography/videography. I’ve been known to do some portrait, family and commercial photography from time to time.

I lived in Guatemala for a year. Half of that year I navigated a river with a boat. I tried to learn Spanish while I was there and can generally get along in a conversation. But this takes my “hacker” mentality to a whole new level.
As much as I love my hand-held technologies and computers I still like to scribble notes on paper.
