Prof. Dr. Patrick Krauskopf, RA, LL.M. (Harvard)

is Head of the . He is also an attorney (Zurich/New York) and partner in the law firm . In the past he worked as a clerk at the Swiss Federal Court in Lausanne and as Vice Director of the Secretariat of the Swiss Federal Competition Commission (COMCO) in Bern. Krauskopf studied at the Universities of Berkeley, California, and Fribourg, Switzerland (Dr. iur.), as well as at the Harvard Law School (LL.M.).

Dr. James T. Peter, RA, LL.M.

Dr. James T. Peter is a lawyer, LL.M., and mediator (SKWM/SAV). He is partner at and at . He is a mediation trainer since 2001 and teacher at the . He is director of the mediation practical training which is organised every year in co-operation with the , Austin, TX. He is a renowned business mediator with a focus on claim disputes between companies. Dr. James T. Peter does regularly speak at conferences and has written many publications on extrajudicial settlement and mediation.

Dr. Elisabeth Stern

worked during the last seven years for the (of which three years as member of the board) as director of the intercultural training division. She is assistant professor at the and at various technical colleges in Switzerland. She studied Ethnology and Children- and Teenager-Psychology and got her PhD as well as her MA from University of California in Anthropology. During five years she was assistant professor in Ethnology at the and during two years Research Associate at the in Harare.

Dr. Andres Smith-Serrano

Dr. Andres Smith-Serrano is, Political Affairs Officer in the office of the Director-General, , Geneva. He has a PhD in Politics from the London School of Economics. Dr. Smith-Serrano has a wide and detailed experience of negotiations and mediation. During his long diplomatic career he has been holding various positions in different agencies of the United Nations and completed different diplomatic tasks on behalf of the UN in ,  , , , etc.

Dr. Mirjam Teitler, RA

is a lawyer, specialised in the fields of Media and Business Law, and she is an expert in Litigation-PR. She is a member of the executive board of the and legal counsel at the while working together with within the framework of a co-operation. Before that, she was working at various law offices in Zurich and Munich. She is an experience journalist due to her work as a freelancer and member of the editorial staff before and after her studies for various television stations and news papers. Dr. Mirjam Teitler has studied and graduated in Zurich.

Dr. Vitalijs Butenko

Dr. Vitalijs Butenko joined the Chair of Negotiation and Conflict Management (), led by Prof. Dr. Michael Ambühl, in September 2013. He specializes in development of master courses, seminars and workshops on negotiation, and design of new negotiation role plays. Before joining the group of Prof. Ambühl, Vitalijs wrote a doctoral dissertation on democratic decision-making at the Center of Economic Research at ETH Zurich. Vitalijs holds a MSc degree in Telecommunications from the Riga Technical University (), and a MSc degree in Communication Systems from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (). He also spent an exchange semester at Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm () and contributed to the multilateral negotiations on the topic of cognitive radio technology at the International Telecommunication Union () in Geneva. From 2010 to 2012 Vitalijs held president’s office of the Academic Association of the Scientific Staff at ETH Zurich.

Alessandra Vellucci

Ms. Vellucci, a national of Italy, has spent her entire career serving the United Nations. She is currently Chief of the Intergovernmental Support Service of the , where she is in charge of the organization’s intergovernmental machinery and serves as Secretary of the Trade and Development Board. Prior to joining UNCTAD she served as the Chief of the Press and External Relations Section of the United Nations Information Service Office in Geneva. In this role she has supported Member States, journalists, NGO representatives, and the public at large in the organization of high-level events and press conferences. She has also provided support on media-related aspects of , the Conference on Disarmament, the Human Rights Council and the Human Rights Committees. Before joining , Ms. Vellucci worked for UNCTAD in several progressively responsible positions for nearly 20 years. Moreover, Ms. Vellucci participated in the organization of several ministerial conferences such as UNCTAD VIII, IX andX, and the Geneva Conferences on Syria I and II. Ms. Vellucci holds a post-graduate Master’s degree in international relations from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva and speaks English, French, Spanish and Italian.

Khaldoun Dia-Eddine

Khaldoun Dia-Eddine is Head of the and lecturer at . His interest focus on International Business, International Negotiation and Multicultural Marketing. Besides this he is also active as an expert in focus as a lecturer, consultant and researcher is in Middle East and Islamic World including Islamic Finance. He was involved in various integration programs of the state and in the foundation of the , the interreligious dialogues as well as .

Elinadav Heymann

Elinadav Heymann has a Master in Political Science from the Hebrew University. He currently is the at the EU Parliament in Brussels, Belgium. Before that, he was the Director of Political Affairs at the EFI. Before that, he worked as Senior Consultant for the , as Spokesman and Advisor for the Knesset and as Senior Intelligence Agent for the . Working with groups and people involved in conflicts taught Elinaday Heymann on how to communicate over various channels, such as web 2.0 or with traditional media.
