Spanish Curriculum
The Spanish curriculum is made up of three main components: songs, skits, and in class. The words we are focusing on are . Because the top 100 most commonly used words make up 50% of all spoken Spanish language, this gives student a great base to actually communicate with native speakers. We won’t get to all 100 words this year, but we are working towards this goal over the next couple of years.
As part of our curriculum, we will study popular Latino songs written by artists around the world. We will learn the cultural background, themes, and high frequency language found in these songs. We will typically study a new song each month. Below is a list of songs we will study this year as well as links to lyrics and YouTube videos of the songs.
