Dear Future McAuliffe Manual 6th Grader and Family,
Welcome to McAuliffe Manual Middle School! I hope your spring is going well and you are enjoying your last few months of elementary school. I am so excited to have the opportunity to work with all of you for the next three years.
To help families plan for their summer break and the start of the school year, please view our McAuliffe Manual school calendar . (Please note this is slightly different from the .) The first day of school for our founding class will be Monday, August 8th.

McAuliffe Manual is a new school opening in 2016-2017, serving students in the Near Northeast Enrollment Zone of Denver and choice-in students from outside this boundary. For the 2016-2017 school year, McAuliffe Manual anticipates accepting a founding 6th grade class of approximately 90-180 students. The school will grow one grade each subsequent year until built out to grades 6-8.
Modeled after McAuliffe International School on the Smiley campus, McAuliffe Manual offers students a challenging, well-rounded liberal arts education that is based on learner-centered classrooms, character education and international-mindedness. McAuliffe Manual is interested in becoming an International Baccalaureate (IB) candidate school and seeking Innovation Status within Denver Public Schools.
All students take the following year-long courses:
