If you are taking a course that requires writing essays, you may want to look into the Writing Center. The Center is located in Humanities, Room 1, and is staffed by experienced professionals and students. Students taking English courses will find the Center helpful in starting the writing process. Staff will offer tips on organization, research, proper citations, and completion of the writing process. Writing Center staff will review your paper and make suggestions on improving it. If the staff member sees frequent writing errors, he/she will offer some advice on correcting the errors.
The Science Study Lab offers assistance to students enrolled in basic science courses (General Biology and General Chemistry) and anatomy and physiology courses (Biology 121, 201, 207, and 208).
The Academic Reading Center (ARC), located in the Library, Room 115, offers a place where you can receive help finding quick ways to identify the most important information to study from any textbook as well as help with reading coursework. It also serves as a quiet place to read and/or study.
The Cumberland Study Labs offer a range of available to accommodate your schedule. Free tutoring is also available at the and County Campuses.
Now, in addition to Study Labs and individual tutors, ACM students at all campuses, including early college and online students, now have access to FREE Online Tutoring by visiting . It is available from 10am-4am EST, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. (This is not a typo…4:00 in the morning – 18 hours a day!). Students can log in to work with a live tutor and receive help with math, science, business, writing, and more with a few clicks.
