Learn Spanish In Seville For Adults

We’re just $45 away from reaching $2,000 raised for the student athletes at Rhodes Hall High School! Can you help? now, or read more about the kids and their incredible stories .

If you’ve been reading my blog for more than about a week, then you know I am obsessed with productivity and using my time efficiently. I am rarely sitting still, which is somewhat of a personality defect. Actually, it’s definitely a personality defect – . My free time comes in small chunks these days, which is entirely my own fault between , teaching at Barre3, and freelance work, but I still find myself on a quest to add more to my life. The other day, AJ asked me how I manage to squeeze so much in, and it gave me the idea for this post. You’d be amazed what you can do with 10 spare minutes and a smart phone! So, these are my favorite apps for accomplishing something big in small chunks of time – and no, this post is not sponsored and contains no affiliate links!

– Learn a New Language

Screenshots from Duolingo

I’m currently really into Duolingo and am currently on a 3 week long streak of using it every day! The app offers language lessons for 26 different languages in a fun, gamified format. The lessons take 5-10 minutes each and build over time in a way that is intuitive and logical. I’m currently working on learning Portuguese just for fun, and it’s a great way to spend a few minutes of your lunch break at work or while you’re standing in front of the stove and cooking dinner. Best of all, it’s totally free!

– Get Fit Quick

Let’s face it – some days, it is hard to string together a full 30-60 minutes (or more!) to workout. There were many times in the past where if I didn’t have a full hour to run, I wouldn’t bother going at all, which seems crazy to me now! I love the Barre3 app because it features 10-minute long workouts and healthy recipes in a ton of categories. Whether you want a quick 10-minute full body workout, want to target the legs, core, arms, or seat specifically, or want to string together a few workouts for a longer effort, the choice is yours! I love doing 10 minutes on my lunch break at work for an energy burst, and the best part is there is NO equipment needed. The recipes are easy, quick, healthy and delicious, too! The app is a one-time $4.99 fee and worth every penny.

– Find Flights Fast

When I’m looking for cheap flights for an upcoming trip, Kayak is one of my favorite tools. I can search for flights with the flexibility of multiple multiple dates, set price alerts, and search for nearby airports. You can set the app to alert you via email or the app on a daily or weekly basis and watch the prices of your flights as they go up and down. I’m a little bit of a stalker when it comes to this app for sure! I currently have 8 (yes, 8) routes that I am tracking.

– Save Money on Pretty Much Everything

I used to be a pretty hardcore couponer back in the day, but I’ll be the first to admit I don’t spend as much time doing that as I used to. I used to save a ton of money on groceries and it was awesome! So when I heard about Ibotta, I loved that it was so easy and truly applies to tons of different products – groceries, clothes, toiletries, and more. The best part is that it doesn’t have to be a brand name item – you can get “$1 off paper towels” or “50 cents off frozen produce” and it’s any brand of paper towels and any frozen produce. It takes just a few minutes to search for the store where you’ll be shopping and scroll through the available deals, and new coupons are added all the time! All you have to do is activate the coupon, scan the qualifying item you purchased, and take a picture of your receipt to get cash back. Pretty awesome if you ask me!

Well, that’s how I spend my free time. What do you do with yours? Probably something way more normal and relaxing. #sorrynotsorry
