About Patricia Young
I’m an English to Portuguese and Portuguese to English freelance translator, interpreter, and transcriber based in Texas. I’m native in Portuguese, fluent in English and Spanish, and understand a little Italian. After 6 years working in the medical field I decided it was time to follow my passion and become a professional translator. I have volunteered as a translator and interpreter for over 5 years on medical mission trips in both Brazil and the United States. In addition, my husband and I own and operate 5 online stores and several other investments.
I’m also and avid reader, an animal lover, and a vegan. When not at the computer I can be found at the gym with my husband or practicing my guitar. I also love traveling, meeting new people all over the world and learning different languages. I’m currently trying to learn Chinese and hope to be fluent one day.
