Get comfortable speaking Spanish with virtual one on one lessons! No prior language knowledge needed, as lessons can be tailored to any level. Rather than a traditional grammatical approach, lessons are structured around relevant words and phrases. There is an emphasis on speaking, comprehension, and pronunciation. Weekly hour long recorded video chat sessions will allow you to practice, make mistakes, ask questions, and learn from home.

Each lesson includes a worksheet with Spanish phrases, English translations,  pronunciation guides, and cultural notes, as well as a pronunciation practice video. Students should anticipate spending about one to two hours outside of scheduled lesson time each week to review materials in advance, practice pronunciation, and review new vocabulary and phrases. Other brief review tasks may be assigned such as watching short youtube videos, listening to Spanish music, creating dialogues, or real life applications. Subject material and level of lessons is flexible and can be personalized depending on goals, background, and interests.

Several options to work with me for personalized lessons:

Long Term Learner: The total cost for the 12 week personalized one on one program is $260. Pricing is set up as a one-time fee for 10 sessions with the mid-term and final exam included at no extra charge. This is ideal for students who are new to Spanish or intermediate, with definite Spanish learning goals. Alternately, lessons can be scheduled 2 per week for 6 weeks. Brush Up: One hour long session weekly for four weeks is $105. This is great for those who want to refresh their skills, simply practice conversing in Spanish weekly, or have specific job or travel goals related to Spanish. Alternately, lessons can be scheduled 2 per week for 2 weeks. Crash Course: One hour long session for two weeks in a row is $55. This is a good option for someone who doesn’t have a lot of time to pick up some basic skills, especially for travel to a Spanish speaking country. Alternately, lessons can be scheduled 2 per week for 1 week. Supplemental Tutoring/Instruction: Assistance for students of anyage/level with Spanish coursework, homework, and/or exam preparation. Instruction/tutoring is available on a regular basis or as needed. $35 per hour long session.

Here’s how it works: 1) Sign up and receive email confirmation and a reminder in advance. 2) You will set up Google Hangouts video chat software (free) in advance of the consultation. 3) I will invite you to a Google Hangout video chat at the scheduled time. During the consultation, we will discuss your Spanish goals and background, to determine which class is the best fit, and what modifications might be helpful to personalize your lessons. 4) After the consultation, I will send you a follow up email with information on signing up for lessons if you are interested.
