Learn Spanish Narrabeen

Date: November 3, 2012 Time: 10:00 a.m. to 4 p.m. Place: My home in Spanish Fork (I’ll email directions the week prior to class!)

Do you have a DSLR camera but very little knowledge about how to use it?  Have you been frustrated by the results you are getting from your nice camera?  Do you wish you could take better control of your camera and just take better photos of your family and the beauty around you?

Whether you want to photograph nature, landscapes, or your beautiful children and family, this class will help you take control of  your camera and start getting the photos you want.

What you get?

  • 7 hours with me :)!  We’ll even eat lunch together (I’ll pay!) and talk photography!
  • Simple explanations about how your camera works and what the buttons on your camera do!
  • A copy of my to take home and use to reference and remember all that we learned in class (a $49 value by itself!)
  • ONE-ON-ONE help learning and asking questions—invaluable!
  • A post-class assignment to make sure that the information sunk in and a chance to get some feedback on your photos via email!

Okay, so you want more specific details?

You’ll be learning:

  • All about your camera!
  • Lots of information about lenses!
  • The relationship between aperture, shutter speed, and ISO.
  • Using your camera in Manual mode.
  • Metering
  • Exposure
  • Basics of white balance, focus modes and file types.
  • Using Natural Light
  • Composition
  • Some basic processing tips.

Required: digital SLR (a camera that is capable of changing lenses.)

Additional Details

  • I only offer a limited amount of seats for each class to ensure that classes are small with plenty of opportunity to ask questions and learn on YOUR camera.
  • All attendees receive my (a $49 value.)
  • Simple assignments will be given after each class to practice/apply the topics learned. Assignments include feedback on photos from me!
  • Plenty of opportunity will be given to ask questions.
  • Come with a friend or come make some new ones!
