“Cemetery Walk“ Back by Popular Demand April 10th

Back by popular demand, the St. Paul Museum, with help from the Randleman High School Drama Class, will host another Cemetery Walk at the museum on April 10th from 2:30 – 4:30pm. Students will portray various historical citizens including:

Peter Clark, builder of St. Paul Methodist Episcopal Church South; John B. Randleman, textile executive; John H.  Ferree, textile executive; William ‘Billy’ Brown, builder; J.W. ‘Bud’ Glenn, merchant, store owner; Della Young Glenn, his wife; James O. Pickard, co-owner of Naomi Mills; Glenna Lassiter, elementary school teacher; Alice Farlow Lassiter, homemaker

St Paul Tag Sale April 29th and 30th

The St. Paul museum is having a “Tag Sale” to raise money for the ongoing restoration of the museum. If you have any unwanted treasures, bring them to the back of the Firestone store in Randleman. We can’t take clothes or books but all other items will be appreciated. If you need help, please call either (336) 498-2221 or (336) 302-1660.

A “Pre-Sale will be held April 29th from 4:00 – 8:00pm with a $5.00 charge for a first chance at the room full of “treasures”. On April 30th, the sale starts at 8:00am (no admission charge) until ? At 1:00pm, everything in the store will be half price. All sales are cash only.

St. Paul Now Listed on the National Register of Historic Places

On August 14, 2015, the St. Paul Museum was entered in the National Register of Historic Places which is a list of properties that are significant in American history, architecture, archaeology and culture. We  are proud of this recognition and thank the many people involved in this effort. (Click for Asheboro Courier-Tribune article)

St. Paul Hosts 2nd Annual High Point Street Reunion

The St. Paul Museum again hosted a reunion of residents, both current and former, of High Point Street here in Randleman. Peopled shared stories of life growing up when doors were not locked and going to church here at St. Paul’s.

St. Paul Hosted a Cemetery Walk May 17th

The St. Paul Museum, with help from the Randleman High School Drama Class, hosted a Cemetery Walk at the museum on May 17th. The following students were dressed in period clothing and represented the following people buried at St. Paul:
