What is a FAAECP?
It is a guide for how to care for an allergic person, when that person has a suspected allergic reaction. The document should be filled-in by the allergic person’s doctor, and a copy be kept with the person’s emergency medications.
Why do I need a FAAECP?
Many people thing it will be obvious how to treat a suspected allergic reaction, but this is often not the case, especially when it is a new food allergy diagnosis. The FAAECP is a great tool to use to learn more about food allergies from your doctor. Ask about all of the various symptoms, and how your doctor wants you to treat the reactions, learn more about mild symptoms, and how quickly reactions can change.
