S2 sees our topics continue through from S1. The topics that will be covered are listed below, along with an outline of our grammar targets for the end of the S2 course. By the end of S2, we expect all pupils to be able to perform at Int1 level French.
Topics include:
– School and subjects (focus on comparisions with school in RDC, giving preferences, expressing opinions and justifying those opinions)
– Film study of “Au Revoir Les Enfants” by Louis Malle (focus on experiences in school, looking at the topic of the Second World War and introducing the perfect tense)
– Science and Technology: which are the best inventions since the Second World War in your opinion? (focus on expanding vocab into new areas of interest and reinforcing comparisions)
– The Cannes Film Festival (talking about different types of film, genres and preferences. Describing events in the perfect tense)
