It has a whale of a tale on its hands in Farmington.
A satirical “news” site, , wrote a story about a reported mysterious whale found in a Utah field over the weekend.
The article states a dairy farmer found the remains of the 12-meter humpback while searching for a lost cow.
Authorities ran into trouble when the fake report mentioned the Farmington City Police were called to investigate.
Officials said dispatch was flooded with phone calls about the sea creature.
The Fox 13 newsroom even received a few calls about it.
Just to be clear, there is no whale in Farmington.
