Have you learned English in school or in a classroom? Have you learned English online? (Yes! You’re here now!) . What are the pros and cons of learning in the classroom? Even though I often say a lot of negative things about classroom English, there are still some benefits. This expression “pros and cons” is something that I teach in the course “” In brief, it’s a natural expression that means “the advantages and disadvantages.” Pro: Your school organizes all of the materials so you don’t need to do much research. You can talk with other students to practice conversations. Con: Your school might choose boring, useless material that isn’t practical for your needs. There might be too many students in your class, so you can’t speak much. . What are the pros and cons of learning online? Pro: You can choose from hundreds of teachers and methods to find the best fit for your style. You can meet people around the world and have a huge international English community. You can learn wheneveryou have free time because there isn’t a specific class time. You can find good quality free materials and more organized paid materials. Con: You have to spend time researching materials yourself and finding the best fit for you. If you’re learning online without a teacher or program, you might not be certain if you’re following the right path.  . Now it’s your turn.
