Hi my name is Sarah-Elizabeth and I am the writer behind The Spanish Bluebell. In the year 1995 I was born in Madrid, the capital of Spain. Just a little Chulapa with a love for pretty and awe-inspiring things. When I was about 6 and a half I moved with my family to Aotearoa, the land of the long white cloud, or more commonly known as New Zealand, and have been here ever since. I have lived in both Auckland and Christchurch, but am currently residing in Hamilton where I study.
At the moment I am a student studying towards a Bachelor of Music (specializing Contemporary Christian Music). In 2014 life got a bit busy juggling University, work and trying to be the aforementioned amazing youth leader. I found that early in 2014, not long into my first year of my degree, I was getting extremely bored as I no longer had any creative outlets. I used to play netball and basketball, sing, read books and do all sorts of crafty things. That all seemed to go out the window when I started university and I needed something more in my life that would make me happy. So here was born The Spanish Bluebell (formerly Child of Ponderings), my little happy, creative place in this big world.
My main passions are my faith and my Christian journey, working with animals and people, languages, music (especially singing), beauty and fashion (you’ll see quite a few beauty reviews in the Beauty tab) as well as cooking and baking, reading, playing netball and basketball. My Christian faith is a huge part of my life and I have been walking with God ever since I was a child. I finally made the decision to fully commit my life to Christ in December 2013 when I was baptised.
I’ve always loved to write and had always dreamed of being an author when I was a child. (Just one of the many things I was sure I was going to be when I grew up. Also including a veterinarian, archaeologist, marine biologist and famous singer. Who knows as maybe one day I could be all of them?) Now I write this blog for both you and me, in the hope that you will learn some new things, find out information on products you have never tried before, be entertained by what I write or just purely read my posts as some coffee time or lunch break reading!
